We found a turtle in the road and the kids wanted to keep it but we read that Box turtles don't travel far from home and will not make very good pets. We also learned that the turtle was a girl based on the color of her eyes.
They named her Squirtle.
Jason was upset that we had to let her go. So we took her picture.
